Family run friendly business
We are not scary salespeople, just people who love kitchens and we will be at your side throughout every step of your kitchen project.
We are very much a family run or husband and wife run company/team!
Brett became a trainee kitchen installer when he was
Brett worked for several large kitchen companies gaining experience and knowledge.
These companies included B&Q, MFI, Wickes, Manhatten, Moben and new build companies/sites.
Brett was responsible for training new staff members and was responsible for seven fitting teams, all reporting directly to him.
He left to work for himself and launched Dovetail Kitchens shortly afterwards to show customers there is a better and fresher way to have a kitchen installed.
Brett is now director / main designer / senior
Dawn’s dream was to work on a glossy magazine and after college and work experience at youth/women’s magazines, she landed her dream job at Just Seventeen magazine.
Fed up of travelling, she then moved more local to home and worked for a small Public Relations company (a husband and wife team!) where she organised events and exhibitions for the press and general public.
After their babies were born, Dawn came into the business to look after our customers and the admin side, as well becoming the photographer at the end of each project.
Since opening the Dovetail Kitchens showroom, Dawn has trained to use the kitchen computerised CAD programme to show customers how their dream kitchen could look.
We used Dovetail a few years ago. They don’t use cheap wrapped doors, instead, they always use better quality doors, but they still managed to come in at a lower price than the joinery/carpentry trade counters we’d also visited for quotes.
Our kitchen still looks like new after all this time – we highly recommend Dovetail Kitchens
“Dovetail designed and fitted my kitchen last year – which included removing a separating wall – blocking up old
The bonus was that I had also had two other kitchen showrooms quote – but neither came up with the innovative ideas that Brett at Dovetail did, plus they were more expensive for just a kitchen, whereas Dovetail priced up for a kitchen which INCLUDED the building works.”
